The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 7 The Scimitar

What exactly does Agent Elizabeth Keen think she is doing? Last week’s episode of The Blacklist ended on a shocker, when we found out that Lizzy had been keeping her ex-husband Tom alive and well in a locked basement. We were told that Tom was dead, but on The Blacklist nothing is ever as it seems. Lizzy is keeping Tom alive to get all the information he has, but keeping him around could end up backfiring on her if he ever escapes.

It also puts a potential wedge between Lizzy and Red if the truth is revealed. Tonight’s all new episode, The Scimitar, focuses on a hitman that’s been sent to avenge an Iranian spy’s death, but the real drama is about what’s locked in Lizzy’s basement. This is the final episode before The Blacklist mid-season finale, and those finale episodes are always a bloodbath. My guess is that Red will figure out Lizzy’s secret by the end of tonight, and take on ending Tom’s life himself next week. Either way things aren’t looking good for Tom if Red finds out he is still alive.

When an Iranian nuclear scientist is suspiciously assassinated, a revenge ploy begins against a valued American. Red (James Spader) informs agents Keen (Megan Boone) and Navabi (Mozhan Marno) that a dangerously conniving hitman “The Scimitar” (guest star Waleed F. Zuaiter) has been sent to the job. Liz and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) find themselves in a tricky predicament as they investigate a surveillance lead. Agent Keen attempts to gather information on Berlin (Peter Stormare), while Red finds company with a woman working at a food truck.
