“The Affair” Season 1 Episode 7 will air on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. on Showtime. Noah and his family are preparing to return to Brooklyn, but things get heated up in Montauk. Before we get into the details, let's do a quick step back from last week's episode.
In Episode 6, Noah’s (Dominic West) friend Max was in town for a visit and immediately had the hots for Alison (Ruth Wilson) when he spotted her at the club. It was a good thing Max was too drunk and too high to act on it. As soon as Max left, Noah and Alison met up and had sex at a hotel.
In the wee hours of the morning, she had to leave though, saying that her husband Cole (Joshua Jackson) would be back home from his trip early. Only, Noah saw that Alison did a detour when she said she was going home, so he followed her and saw something that made him suspect Alison was dealing drugs.
His suspicion was bolstered when he was at the lobster shack later, with Oscar telling him that the Lockharts were dealers. Oscar had a minor tiff with Scotty Lockhart too, which prompted him to call the police to snitch on them.
Noah heard it all, so he went to find Alison to warn her, and she immediately told her husband about it, thus confirming Noah’s suspicion about the drugs. The Lockharts had to clean up and dump their illegal stuff. But as it turned out, Oscar was only bluffing.
This incident had Alison decided she should leave town with Noah and start anew, as it looked like her husband won’t find any other way to earn money and keep the ranch running.
But for Noah, the drug dealing was an eye-opener. When Alison saw him that night, his stance changed. He no longer wanted to keep his affair with Alison going, even if he first suggested that he could always come to visit her in the fall. Noah broke up with her.

The summer is about to end, which means the Solloways will have to return home to Brooklyn. This thought gave Noah much relief, particularly with his most recent encounter with Alison. Leaving Montauk was his way out of the affair.
But things come to play when Noah and his wife Helen (Maura Tierney) will first have to join in the therapy session that their daughter Whitney has with her shrink. Moreover, the couple will have to deal with another emergency, and the teaser hints that Oscar may be extorting from Noah because he knows something. Could their departure from Montauk be delayed?
Meanwhile, Alison and Cole will also have some issues to thresh out when her husband and the rest of the Lockharts confront her about Noah. We’ll also see the detective return in this episode.
