“A to Z” Season 1 Episode 5 “E is for Ectoplasm” will air on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. on NBC. The couple will decide to throw a Halloween party. Moreover, there’s a special guest at Wallflower's Halloween party too. Read on for the details to this episode. But first, let’s take a step back from last week for a quick recap.
In “D is for Debbie” (air date: Oct. 23, 2014) Zelda (Cristin Milioti) lost her surrogate mother, Aunt Debbie, who was the one who took care of her as a young child. There was a funeral set, but Zelda was not sure if it was okay to ask Andrew (Ben Feldman) to be with her. They have only been dating for three weeks.
Andrew, on the other hand, was fine being with Zelda at the funeral. All he wanted was to support and console her in her time of grief. But Zelda decided that it wasn’t the right time. So when Andrew surprised her at the funeral and saw how awkward his girlfriend was, they agreed that he had to leave.
But it was too late because Andrew was already spotted by Zelda’s relatives. He got along fine with them, despite their idiosyncrasies though. Zelda, on the other hand, needed to get herself together. She was even more of a wreck when her Uncle Dave asked her to deliver the eulogy in his place as Zelda was not prepared for it. She treated it like a closing statement in court.
Zelda needed to get fresh air, so she and Andrew went to a small café. There, she cried her heart out and let it go. But Andrew didn’t mind, nor was he turned off by her show of emotions. He was there to support her, and that’s exactly what he did.
Meanwhile, Wallflower’s big boss, Lydia (Christina Kirk), was eyeing staff she would like to trim off for underperforming, and one of the first ones whose job was on the line was Stu (Henry Zebrowski).
To impress the boss, Stu thought he would invite a celebrity to sign up with Wallflower and saw the opportunity when he found out that YouTube sensation Tyler Ward was at Aunt Debbie’s funeral. He had to find a way to convince Tyler, but Stephie (Lenora Crichlow) was all over him.
In the end, neither Stu nor Stephie did not become good friends with Tyler, who actually thought that the two deserved each other for the way they behaved around him.
In the next episode of the show, Andrew and Zelda will plan on making this a Halloween to remember by throwing a party together. But each of their best friends, Stu and Stephie, will not like the idea. The couple will be breaking off tradition, one that they used to do together with their pals, and their best friends will start to feel that they are slowly losing Andrew and Zelda now that the two have officially become a couple.
At Wallflower, meanwhile, Lydia, aka Big Bird, is planning on doing a promotional boost for her internet-dating company and one of the guys think that Ray Parker Jr. would be the perfect personality for this. He’s going to be invited to the Halloween party at Wallflower. How will that turn out?
